Soloist
Zazueta specialises in new music repertoire and opera. He has premiered multiple operas in Mexico and the United States, as well as solo and chamber music pieces. He enjoys giving life to new works and is always eager to find new opportunities to collaborate in exciting and daring projects. Both his vocal and stage abilities have led him to work with figures such as Meredith Monk, Yuval Sharon, Carmina Escobar, Wilfrido Terrazas, and Project Blank, among many others.
Radical Ensamble
Radical Ensamble is a Baja California based vocal ensemble that specialices in contemporary music. This ensemble explores and creates new music both in concert and staged productions. Our lastest exploration was "Ópera: Café Mundo" a site specific chamber experimental ópera, in collaboration with the composer Jonny Stallings.
Stage direction/Composition
As well as performing, Zazueta has also developed as a stage director and a composer. As a composer he has worked with Tijuana based companies as Péndulo Cero and Teatro en el Incendio. He has also produced for himself new music as his latest piece "Tres Memorias" (2022) a dance and voice solo piece in three movements. As a stage director he works in concert and opera. Some of his highlights are the productions of the opera "Il Filosofo di Campagna" produced and presented in La Habana and Matanzas, Cuba, as well as the staged concert "Las Canciones de Frida Khalo" for San Diego Opera.
